Tetbury – 4ft Roller

Look at this beautiful blue Auto-Roller - another fantastic colour to add to our rainbow of rollers!!

After a tough year for Tetbury Cricket Club, an incredible effort has gone into raising the funds for the future of the club. This included the refurbishment of their Auto-Roller, and its safe to say that all of us are very pleased with the outcome. It has been a pleasure to work with Paul, and we wish all at Tetbury Cricket Club a very good season ahead!

Luckily the sun was shining, and we were able to get some photos of the Auto-Roller in all its glory - along with our promotional pack that we are giving away with any new Auto-Roller purchase this year as we celebrate 100 years!

Please don't hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions about our cricket roller range.

Edgbaston – Gold 4ft Roller

Auto-Roller – the world famous cricket roller is celebrating its 100 year anniversary, the first design finalised in 1921, manufactured and delivered all over the world ever since. An iconic design that still continues to be the choice of the world’s top groundsmen, from village cricket clubs to international grounds.
As part of our centenary celebrations we are offering to paint our newly manufactured (and refurbished) rollers in gold, as well as returning back to the original front plaque on all of our rollers. We were delighted that Edgbaston chose to have their new roller in gold and are the first ground in the UK to have received one.
Gary Barwell is a pleasure to work with, we enjoyed meeting the fantastic grounds team who work incredibly hard to keep the grounds pitch perfect.

It was a privilege to able to retake a photo of the same member of the team 20 years on, first on Edgbaston’s blue roller (only recently refurbished) and then on their new gold roller 20 years later.

Edgbaston have been a long standing customer of ours and we love nothing more than to see our Auto-Rollers at home on the grounds.
There is a beauty in the heritage of our Auto-Rollers, we are very proud of the prestige and design that has evolved over the years. We hold a book of serial numbers dating back to the 1940s, some rollers are still continuing to roll with our re-power kits, bringing the more mature rollers back to life.

Please don't hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions about our cricket roller range.

Wickford Cricket Club – 4ft Roller

"Can't go wrong with a Auto-Roller. First class service and a first class product."

Danny Rouse, Wickford Cricket Club

When speaking to Wickford Cricket club earlier this year, they were willing candidates to add to our ever growing rainbow of rollers! In addition to pink and mint green, we have now added cherry red as another unique finished roller.

When he received the roller, Daniel Rouse (Chairman and Head Groundsman) said he was "like a kid at Christmas".

We're always interested to hear about how all our customers secured funding for their rollers. Please get in contact if you would like to share your story to help out other clubs.

Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club – 4ft Roller

We spoke with Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club in the summer after they were awarded a section 106 grant to go towards providing community and social infrastructure. We were pleased to quote them for a new 4ft Auto-Roller.

The club had decided to go with an Auto-Roller after seeing the Pitchcare article regarding last year's 3ft Auto-Roller Competition and liked our ambition for supporting smaller cricket clubs with limited funding.

We were pleased to be able to deliver the roller while the sun was still shining and they are now the proud owners of not only a new roller, but also our complementary cricket hat!

We would like to thank Chairman Andy Shield for the business and his kind words. We hope the club get many years of use out of their roller - starting next season once the weather has warmed up a bit!

Ormskirk Cricket Club – Re-Power Kit

Ormskirk Cricket Club first contacted us in 2016, enquiring about an Auto-Roller Re-Power Kit. We were happy to supply them with a quote and were contacted again last year when they were beginning to put the funding in place.

At the beginning of this year, the purchase of a Re-Power kit was approved by the committee. We received the old roller from Ormskirk and began the process of shot-blasting and re-spraying the roller, plus fitting the new kit at our workshop here in Wiltshire.

Within a few weeks, the roller (looking almost like a new machine!) was ready to go back home to Ormskirk, just in time for the start of the season!

After

We are happy to hear that the club are delighted with the results, and we hope they get many years of use out of the overhauled roller!

Menai Bridge Cricket Club – 4ft Auto-Roller

Back in October, Menai Bridge Cricket Club contacted us when they wanted to replace their old Auto-Roller. Head groundsman, Keith, was kind enough to let us in on how they found the process with applying for grants and purchasing the Auto-Roller.

Menai Bridge Cricket Club is situated on the Isle of Anglesey in North West Wales. Nestled in the beautiful scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, the club boasts a fantastic community spirit combined with majestic views.
