It’s That Time of Year Again – #GroundsWeek is coming!

Spring is in the air, the sun is (sometimes) shining, and it’s time to celebrate the unsung heroes of sport – the dedicated groundskeepers who keep pitches, wickets, and playing fields in top condition!

We are delighted to once again support the Grounds Management Association (GMA) by taking part in #GroundsWeek this year (17th-23rd March). This fantastic initiative shines a spotlight on the hard work, dedication, and skill that goes into maintaining sports grounds – often done by volunteers who give up their time to keep our favourite sports running smoothly.


What is #GroundsWeek?

#GroundsWeek is an annual nationwide celebration of the people behind the scenes who make playing surfaces and green spaces look and perform their best. It’s a week dedicated to highlighting the skill of grounds staff, while inspiring everyone to appreciate this vital industry. Whether you’re a professional groundskeeper, a volunteer, or simply someone who loves well-maintained spaces, it's a chance to highlight their expertise, while encouraging more people to consider a career in grounds management.


How Can You Get Involved?

There are plenty of ways to show your support during #GroundsWeek:
